So, it has been awhile.  Lots have happened.  I am not friends with a few people anymore.  One turned out to be a lying bitch, and I called her on her lies.  She said I fabricated the e-mails where she was talking shit on me.  There were seven and they had been mailed to me.  Sigh.  I had promised I wouldn't start shit but the person who I promised broke faith with me and so I feel no need to be loyal anymore.

 That is the bad stuff.

 The good stuff is simple and huge.  

I am doing well.  I cut loose a lot of the people who were causing me major stress.  I am happier without drama.  I am content with the new friends I have made.  And my husband is returning from Iraq.  Simple yet HUGE!

Life has settled into some kind of semblance of order and it is very very good.  I have never been happier.

Well, the time to bid farewell to My Lady is fast drawing upon me.  We have been together for 13 years and the time has come for us to part ways.  I have Served and loved Her for a very long time and that won't change much.  However, it is time for me to move on.  With this impending change, I have decided to research and explore my deep attraction for Asatru and Heathenry.  To that effect, I have raided my book shelves, bought some new books and am looking into a small local group outside of Nashville.  I don't see myself having a Patron/Matron again.  I never liked the idea.  It seems wrong to me on so many levels that I don't want to do it.  Honestly, I had never heard of it before I came here.  I know some folks have a favored God/dess, but not to the exclusion of the rest of the Pantheon.  Growing up, I honored all the Gods of a specific pantheon and then got Called to Service.  Now that I am done, I couldn't imagine ignoring La Familia in favor of one or two Deities.  With this in mind, I am doing a lot of reading on all of Norse/Anglo-Saxon mythology to make sure I get the major Deities familiarized and at some point do some meditations on how my new daily spiritual practcie will work.  I have a feeling certain God/desses will have fondnesses for particular days so I am looking more at a weekly practice per a daily schedule than anything else.  And that is pretty much the spiritual update.  :D

Well, I don't have a flist yet, but I'm sure as this project gets larger, there will be interest.  Not much is new, really.  AJ, my mate, is still deployed and doing well.  His R&R should be at the beginning of June but we don't have exact dates yet.  My Coven is doing well too.  YAY!  The newbies are working out well and my student is coming along just fine.  I'm not sure about more networking in the area, but I'm always up for meeting new people.  I am really tired right now so I am going to wrap this up.  I spent 14 hours cleaning my house yesterday with some help from friends as my mother, who I haven't seen in seven years, came for a visit today.  There is some history there so I wanted to have everything perfect.  It was.  The cleaning wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't had foot surgery, but I can barely walk, so cleaning was arduous.

 

Anyways, I need to go lay down and chill for a bit.  Maybe nap or something.  I want to stay up till nine and then just crash for the night so maybe read for an hour and then POOF!
